Join Us in Shaping the Future of our Parish!
As many are aware, our archdiocese is in the midst of a deliberate planning process as it responds to the shortage of priests and other resource challenges. Some parishes are being consolidated under one pastor, in a construct called “pastorates.” St. Joseph’s has been named a single-parish pastorate, meaning there is no plan to consolidate it with other pastorates at this time. Ultimately, however, the focus of the planning process is to challenge and to enable all of us to answer the call to share the joy of the Gospel, and to live the Gospel message as “missionary disciples.” This call, often championed by Pope Francis, has been the main focus of the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) since it stood up almost 2 years ago.
Our efforts continue, and we invite you to join us in taking the next steps! We will be meeting as a PPC subcommittee through the summer, and will focus on Archbishop Lori’s summary of “Ten things you can do now to Be Missionary Disciples.” Read more about it by Clicking Here

and/or let us know if you would like to join us at a brainstorming session this summer! Immigration . . . from Information to Action
On May 30th the PPC hosted an information session on immigration issues, led by the director of the Immigration Outreach Services Center, and attended by representatives from four local parishes. Stay tuned for future events as we continue to learn about the issues and discern our response as individuals and a community of faith. Save the Dates! Discern your Role on the PPC
We will be holding discernment sessions to fill vacancies on the Parish Pastoral Council in early September, tentatively scheduled for September 5 and 11, at 7 PM in the church. Consider contributing your many talents toward making our faith community as vibrant and welcoming as it can be! Watch the parish bulletin and website for additional information as we get closer.
